A relaxed and creative workshop to learn more about the process of achieving colour with plant dyes. Although you won’t actually be dyeing in this workshop, this is an introduction to what can be achieved, a look at some of the plant dyestuff materials, equipment and methods for dyeing, and the results that can be achieved using plant based dyes.

Using pre- dyed naturally dyed fabrics we will then work on creating layered textile applique pieces and a range of simple rhythmic stitches. The aim is to slow down, enjoy the process mindfully and appreciate the beauty of handling and using the naturally dyed materials.
